In recent years, the Environmental Protection Foreign Cooperation Centre of the Ministry of Environmental Protection has hosted a number of technical assistance projects, the completion of which is resulting in scalable technical solutions with some application prospects. This paper only briefly introduces the possible ODS alternative technology options that have emerged.

Study on the application of HCFO-1233zd (E) in polyurethane rigid foam

The results of thermal conductivity measurement show that the foam exhibits superior thermal insulation performance when the amount of HCFO-1233zd(E) is higher. In general, the thermal conductivity of foam is determined by the thermal conductivity of the gas inside the foam, the thermal conductivity of the bubble material, the radiative conductivity of the bubble at the bubble wall, and the convective thermal conductivity of the gas inside the bubble.

HFC chemical production and construction projects under strict control

According to the latest notification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, HFCs chemical production and construction projects are under strict control, and from 1 January 2022, no new or expanded HFCs chemical production facilities for refrigerants, blowing agents and other controlled uses as listed in the Annex shall be built anywhere, and where HFCs chemical production facilities listed in the Annex have already been built and need to be converted or built on different sites, they shall not increase The original production capacity of HFCs or the addition of new product types of HFCs listed in the Annex.
